![]() | Bagging Sawdust and paddy husk are the organic substrates used for mushroom cultivation. They are mixed with lime and water in a certain ratio, then bagged according to specific weight. The whole cultivation process requires good sanitation and intensive care. Pesticides and fertilizers are not used. |
Cleaning, Sorting, Packing The harvested mushroom are sent to packaging house. Firstly, the mushroom will be cleaned and sorted into different categories before packing. For example, the mushroom with the smaller size are chosen as baby oyster mushroom. Lastly, the packed fresh mushroom will be marketed out. | ![]() |
![]() | Fruiting & Harvesting Mushroom's incubation period varies among species. Grey oyster mushroom starts fruiting after 60 days of incubation. On the 5th day, the mushrooms will be harvested. The production of grey oyster mushroom is 4 tonnes per days on average. |
Spawn Inoculation Steamed substrate bags will be sent for spawn inoculating process where it is carried out aseptically. The inoculation room is always kept clean, air-conditioned, while the worker will be disinfected before entering the room. | ![]() |
![]() | Sterilization Process After bagging, all substrate bags will undergo sterilization process using steamer. Steaming at 100°C is taken to kill all the harmful microorganism. The steaming process takes about 6 hours. |
